Motor Vehicle Register
We access and use information stored on the Motor Vehicle Register (MVR) to facilitate the sale and purchase of motor vehicles through our dealerships under authorisation from Waka Kotahi under section 241 of the Land Transport Act 1998. This includes non-personal information about vehicles (including make, model, VIN, registration, licence expiry dates, etc) and personal information about current registered vehicle owners (including names and addresses). You may request the correction of, and/or opt out of sharing, your personal information held on the MVR by contacting the Registrar at Waka Kotahi in writing at Private Bag 11777, Palmerston North 4442 or email at info@nzta.govt.nz.
Security of Personal Information
Security of personal information is important to us, and we take all reasonable precautions to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.
Some of the ways we protect personal information include:
- external and internal premises security;
- restricting access to personal information only to staff who need it to perform their day to day functions;

Normal website usage
